《聊斋志异》，清朝蒲松龄编着的短篇文言小说集，是蒲松龄的代表作，在他40岁左右历时30多年完成的著作。"聊斋"是他的书斋名，"志"是记述的意思，"异"指奇异的故事，指在聊斋中记述奇异的故事。多数作品通过谈狐说鬼的手法，对当时社会的腐败、黑暗进行了有力批判，在一定程度上揭露了社会矛盾，表达了人民的愿望，但其中也夹杂着一些封建伦理观念和因果报应的宿命论思想。在文学史上，它是一部著名短篇小说集。全书多达500多篇，内容十分广泛，多谈狐仙、鬼妖、人兽，以此来概括当时的社会关系，反映了17世纪的中国的社会面貌。
